When i flew from Oz to the US at the beginning of my trip i ended up jetlagged and sick for four days from the flight.
Cabin pressure and temperature, along with dodgy treated breathing air did'nt go to well with my body.
For this trip i was ready,i saved some vallium pills from the South and thought if a pop some of them and sleep the whole trip then i should come out the other end allright.
And yep,it worked.I slept like a baby the whole trip to NZ,was rudely awaking from a comotosed sleep and walked the airport groggy and bleary eyed for a connecting flight to Melbourne.
On arrival in Melbs i was feeling great, the sun was out,the air was fresh with a summer feel to it and i was'nt sick or feeling like shit.So guys my tip to combat jetlag is VALLIUM.It works for me.

BORDERS-COPS-MALITIA and PASSPORTS

Ooooh im going to be glad to get back to oz for this reason.
Im completeley sick of been hassled by authorities to produce my passport and open up my bags and surfboard bags for inspection, and at the moment this is happening 2 times a day and more.
I got pulled away and interviewed at the equador exit border, holdin my bus up once agai.I had been sick and looked really shabby, was't sure what they were after but it was annoying, answering stupid questins only for them to say, "ok, your right to go".
Last night our bus was stopped 5 mins from the station after a long tiring 12 hour journey. The stoopid annoying bored colombian army, (i would have said excactly that to them if they were'nt all holding machine guns with angry face's on),
well they inspected our bus, dragged me and me only off, hassled and probed me then wanted to go through my bags in front of the whole bus. This took about 25 minutes before they stupidly said once again i was ok and fine to go.On re-entry to the bus everyone took my side and complained and basically said,"yep they are a bunch of dick-heads".
This was not a good start as i had to fly to the states via two stops in colombia and one in costa rica, then to the states with a big heavy maxxed out backpack, surfboards and a guitar case.If that does'nt have the make up of a drug run then i don't know what has.And the US probably ain't the best country to fly into under a little bit of suspicion.
Australia,come and save me.
SAVING THE BEST TILL LAST

Well i have done countless bustrips on this south american leg of my journey. Some good, some terrifying, some long and some smelly.Overall id have to say i'm not one for sitting on a bus, actually im not really one for sitting.......anywhere.
But i just done an awesome trip by bus from Equador to Cali in Colombia. This is to be my last bus trip in South America as im headed for Downunder in time for the festive season. And allthough im a little sad to leave at the same time im stoked to not have to do anymore draining busride's.
Anyway it was like i'd saved the best bus trip for last.I have done parts of this road earlier in the year but this trip was purely magnificent.Rolling up and down the andies with million dollar veiws every second of the huge green farm infested mountains was so calming and enjoyable,i did'nt want the scenery to stop.My nose was pressed against the glass 80% of the trip.
Id named this road to myself "The Great Mountain Road", as it was well paved and winding similar to the Great Ocean Road in oz but this baby had extemities of tunnels through mountains and extreme height and dropoffs on the edge.
Stoked from my trip i arrived at Cali at night, the city of sexy women.
The next day i met and ozzi and a kiwi, this was my last night in South America so it was only expected to party a little.
I went out on the local "goodstuff" and experienced some bedroom excercise with a pretty damn sexy colombian. He he.
I guess you could say i went out with a bang.
