FUTBOL Y MUSICA

Im sure you all know that South America is soccer crazy, like melbourne is football crazy.
Anyhow the last two days i been watching the local soccer here in equador, sunday and yep, monday futbol.
They play on a dirt ground, similar to the blackfella's up north playing footy, only these guys here wear shoe's,softy's.
Anyway, the best thing about the local soccer is there is a live 10 piece salsa band playing tune's the whole game, well the whole two game's per day. It's great entertainment, that mixed with all the local drunks drinking heaps of beer in the hot sun is priceless (literally as it's free also).
The focus is on the crowd, the band and people dancing as much as it is on the game, and once again im the only white skinned bugger there, and damn proud, they love it.
When the salsa bamd stops, the crowd yells with a lot of conviction "MUSICA", then someone will let off a huge firework and scare the shit out of all the oldie's and children.I love it,i forget where i am often until i hear, "gooooooooooooooooooooooolllllll",
And then comes more fantastic live music, loud as can be too,it fills up the whole town,"BANG"-ohh more crackers,"gooooooooooooooollllll".
If only the local footy was like this at home,"then i might think about going"
