So im on the road again, headed west may 2011 for a fresh beginning.
The sun was out accross the nullabor and every bloody bastard i saw waved or lifted the finger off the steering wheel to say G'day.
I heard a story the other night about "cosy corner", now i have noticed almost every coastal town australia wide has a cosy corner (along with a stony or deep creek).
And i always wondered why they did'nt name these pretty little coves something else,
i mean 2000 cosy corners'pretty unoriginal.
Turns out many many years ago a fella by the name of Andrew 'cosy' Crossman set out on horseback on a coastal adventure of australia to find coves at each coastal settlement and name them after himself as "cosy corner".
Now this is pretty tough going back in the day and very admirable, riding horseback, discovering, adventouring and naming the coast we see todya, horse, billy, shotgun and solo.
A bloody good effort i say and it is said to have taken him around seven years to complete his way around australi and back to south oz.
So everytime you are at a 'cosy corner' give a little salute,or cheers to andrew 'cosy' crossman.
lord knows i have a beer for this fella every stop.
