January,2008.Been a long time since my last post from indonesia.
Since then i have seen the east coast of australia....again.I have seen yet another christamas and new yaer, another test series, and a few beautifully inspiring weddings and birthdays back in victoria.
An amzing summer it has been for me as always in victoria 07-08.Its sure the best and liveliest place to be over the summer months in Oz,music, great surfing, great friends, tans,BIKINI'S (no not on me),a wonderful girl named Zarah, partys, tequilla, the best neighbours on earth and all the summer fun that is expected.
Now on the 23rd of january 2008 i sit at the other end of the continent in cairns in far north queensland.
The weather, hot and humid,a reguar of 34degrees with humidity between 60 and 80percent which means it has a feeling of 40 degree heat overall.
Im up here working at the new navy base, thanx to ol lyndon"shaggy"pearce whoput in a good word for me.
I now work under MYSELF for a company known as JD INDUSTRIES.Its definatly all good, and that im thankfull for as today heath ledger died, dunno why i write about it but every young good person dying makes you realise that everyday could be your last,And old Heathy was a similar minded person to me in thinking and living "THE MOMENT,THE NOW",anyway.......
Water,yes water.
I have been so concious to the water saving methods that comes with living down south where water levels and containments are at an alltime low.I even resorted to pissing outside always (even if at a strangers house) just to help save water.
Now those of you that know me well might not be alarmed at that as i have always like pissing in the outdoors, think is in my bloodline as my brother is a cronic outdoor pisser too.Ra ra ra ra,keep getting of the subject, come to think of it what was the subject, oh yeah water.
Well not only do i sweat around ten billion litres of water out of me a day working up here (and drink 6 litres by 4pm) there is an abundance of water up here this time of year, and thats not just because 1 third of queensland is covered in floods at the present time.1 third, thats one whole lot of fricking water.
Its because its the wet season, that means wasting water at every oppertunity is encouraged to keep the dams from overflowing. That measns,
showers longer thatn 30 minutes,
leaving the tap on while brushing your teeth,
hosing dirt of anything,
sprinklers 24 7,
not worrying about leaking taps,
washing cars (not that i wash mine anyway),
and soooo much more. Its such a blessing to be wasting water and not feel bad about it or even have to worry about it having an effect on catchments.
So to all you who love water, get up to the tropics and soak yourselves in it.
Just a pitty i cant go swimming at the beach becuase of the jellyfish season,oh well, best i go for a cold shower to cool off instead.
