O am loving Ecuador so much.I have been staying mostly in small little coastal village's.The local's tend to be extremely friendlay and the seafood feasts are out of this world.
The general vibe in towns is that really chilled atmosphere yopu tend to get in the tropics.I have seen some hilarious stuff in these "anything goes" towns.
Most people ride around on their bike's,from young to really old people. Many dink friend's around in unusual positions and yesterday i saw a guy with a big white bucket tied to the side of his bike at the back and in that bucket was a small child, hilarious.
Today i was walking when a guy on a motorbike cruised past rather slowly and coolely.
He had a cd player zip-tied to his handlebars. Then he had these pretty big house speakers attatched to the front forks of his motorbike. He was riding around wth an 80's opened face helmut,a mo,and aviator sunnglasse's.And to add to this allready hilarious scene he had the salsa music blaring through the main street.Nobody seemed phazed except for me.
Oh,last night there was a kid all of around 12,letting fireworks off in the main plaza. There was army personell and security standing within 20 metre's of him.He was causing a good ol loed scene but nobody blinked an eye, except for me again,i was loving it.Secuirity and army not even bothered by this.
Not to mention the insane fireworks i experienced at the local church in montanita last week, see NOISY TOWN part 2.
It's also very common here to see car's transporting good's dragging along the ground behind but the most impressive of all i think is how many people they can fit on a scooter here. Its never one, allways more.Im forever seeing a family of four on a scooter,Mum,Dad and a child wedged between each, a good laugh.
Here's another one, walking through town today and the plaza (town square) there were two chicks, three guys all in their school uniform drinking longneck beers at lunchtime in the open, excellent, just like us going to the pub at lunchtime in year twelve,Warragul.Only i was the only underager.
Also here there is a military school for kids young as about 6 and up,that one i don't like.
Finally three nights ago i was at a restuarant with some other traveller's.After dinner they proceeded to roll a joint then smoke it at the reatuarant table,no worrie's from anyone.Thats not bad ya know.
So there are so many cwazy sights here daily,no safety,no rule's but competly chilled out society,i love it.
